Cindy Doramus, Boys & Girls Club of Central Arkansas CEO: “I think there’s a lot of confusion in that, “Oh well they’ve been around for 100 years. They’re fine. They don’t need any help from us” and that’s just now true.” IT COSTS ROUGHLY 180áTHOUSAND DOLLARS PER MONTH TO KEEP THE DOORS OPEN… LIGHTS ON AND PROGRAMS AVALIABLE. Cindy Doramus, Boys & Girls Club of Central Arkansas CEO: “We’re just wanting the community to know that we don’t want clubs to close. What would happen in that neighborhood if we weren’t there? AND THAT’S A QUESTION WE ASKED YOUNG JAYLEN. Jaylen Calhoun, 14 years old: “I would have been at home or I would have been at my grandma’s house and just being bored.” Ashlei: “We will be hosting a telethon to help the Boys and Girls Club raise money for operation. It’s happening during all of our newscasts on Wednesday, September 18th, but if you want to donate now, you can go to our website and search “Boys and Girls Club” for a link. I’m Ashlei King, back to you.” ((KEVIN)) FOR MORE INFORMATION
