Canon UK Precision Through Teamwork ILLUMINATE Event

Canon UK Precision Through Teamwork ILLUMINATE Event

We are at Manchester United’s fantastic state of the art training centre the Aon Training Complex. The theme of today’s Illuminate event is precision through teamwork. And we’re absolutely delighted to have ex-Red Arrows pilot Andy Wyatt here to talk to us about exactly that. Precision through teamwork and how that works. In an unbelievably complex world of formation flying. Wing tip to wing tip is about six feet and nose to tail is about four feet. Within that team dynamic we want somebody that we can trust implicitly. Because we’re not flying too far apart. I was here today to talk about the Red Arrows. Specifically about precision and trust. And I was using the Red Arrows as a template for that. How they work as a team. Training, which is the precision side of it and the debriefing. It’s a process of learning. It’s owning those mistakes that you’ve made and trying to find a way forward. Certainly around the team work ethic and the way that was structured. That was really powerful. Yeah, that was really good. Canon Medical Systems who are also joining us here today. Are going to be talking about the amazing state of the art suite that they’ve built here with Manchester United. Using all of their incredible scanning technology to look after their biggest asset, their players. We started a program with a paediatric cardiologist. So we put him with Manchester United. And he can look at a patient’s heart and tell the patient that they can do a certain amount of exercise up to a certain level. Some great stuff from the Canon Medical team. Just showing the breadth of what we do over and above what people would ordinarily know us for I guess. The equipment we put in here is the very cutting edge of medical imaging. Looking at the initial injuries and having a look to see how bad it is. How to manage that player after they’ve come off the pitch. We’re using Canon from the digital and print area. So to see the things that Canon do that perhaps you wouldn’t actually expect Canon to do. So that was really interesting to hear all about those technologies. Well we’re absolutely delighted that so many customers have been able to make it along today. To join us for this really interesting event. Opening the doors to another world in Canon that many people haven’t even seen from us before.
