GOLF LESSONS – EQUIPMENT – GOLF CLUBS FOR BEGINNERS

Buying golf clubs is confusing for most of the people. Let’s see some recommendations for beginners. Traditionally, beginners buy a used equipment and of bad quality; and after a while they buy a better one doing so a double investment. For beginners less equipment is better than more. Putter, sand wedge and iron 8 are enough for the first months of class. In most of my classes I use these three clubs, which you can buy secondhand on the pro shop or in the caddie house. I am not saying that you won’t have to buy a complete equipment: but when you do so it will be an equipment fit to your age, size, strength, athletic skill and swing characteristics. For kids it is important that their clubs are fit to their size, light, and that the shaft is graphite-made. Parents use to buy them bigger clubs, thinking that they will save money, but what they cause are technical problems in the swing. For ladies, the best clubs are the ladies’ ones not the gentlemen’. For gentlemen, oversize clubs, with a lot of perimeter weighting, meaning wide from the base and with flexible shaft.
