How to Follow Proper Gym and Health Club Etiquette


How to Follow Proper Gym and Health Club Etiquette. A gym or health club is a shard environment,
one that comes with its own set of rules. Follow these simple guidelines to avoid being
the member no one wants to spot. You will need Gym membership Courtesy Respect
for others Towel Lock (optional) and cleaning spray (optional). Step 1. Be courteous and take turns at the machines. You pay dues, but so do other members. If someone is lingering near the machine,
let them use it in between your sets. If you see someone blatantly breaking gym
rules, let the staff know. Step 2. When you are done with equipment, or during
long breaks, put the equipment back where you found it. Step 3. When you are done using a bar with weight
plates, take the plates off, and place them back on the rack. Step 4. Respect other members — don’t stand in the
pathways or in front of mirrors in between your sets. Move out of the way to allow other members
access to the equipment. Buy yourself a lock so that you can store
your bag and clothes in a locker during your workout. This will help keep the workout area clean. Step 5. Bring your own towel or locate cleaning equipment
on the gym floor. You should never walk away from a machine
without first wiping off any sweat you left. Make sure to use a cleaning spray if it’s
available. Step 6. Clean up after yourself in the locker room. This isn’t your bathroom. Don’t leave hair on the counters, sinks, or
shower drains. Place trash in the garbage cans and put towels
